BREAKING: TED CRUZ GETS BOOED ON ESPN’S COLLEGE GAMEDAY

Ted Cruz walked onto the College GameDay set in Austin this morning expecting to talk college sports.
Instead, the Texas senator was met with loud boos from the crowd — along with a chant that was impossible to miss:
“TED, YOU SUCK!”
Cruz appeared on the ESPN program to promote the bipartisan Protect College Sports Act, legislation he co-authored with Democratic Sen. Maria Cantwell. He argued that the bill would establish national rules around issues such as transfers, eligibility and NIL compensation.
But while Cruz was speaking with host Rece Davis, the audience behind him made its reaction clear.
The boos continued, and the “Ted, you suck!” chant could be heard during the live broadcast.
And that’s what made the moment notable.
This wasn’t a campaign rally or a political debate. It was College GameDay, broadcasting live from Austin ahead of the huge Texas–Ohio State matchup.
Cruz was there to talk football policy.
The crowd had something else to say.
The senator continued with his pitch for the legislation, warning that without changes, college athletics could face escalating financial and competitive problems. He said the bill is intended to create more stability while preserving opportunities across football, women’s sports and Olympic sports.
Whatever viewers thought of Cruz or the bill, one thing was unmistakable:
The crowd made its feelings heard — live on ESPN.
