Everyone should want wealthy, powerful men who believe they’re above the law—and who prey on children—to face justice. Political connections should never put anyone beyond accountability.
Just because a president may have been friends with someone, or may even face allegations himself, does not mean anyone should be protected from scrutiny or the law. Being named in records or having associations with someone, however, is not by itself proof of criminal wrongdoing.
No political party should get a pass. No billionaire should get a pass. No powerful person should get a pass.
