AMERICANS ARE STILL PAYING THE PRICE

The economy is becoming one of the central issues heading into the 2026 midterms — and the cost of living remains a major concern for voters.

Inflation has not disappeared. The latest available BLS data showed consumer prices up 3.4% over the previous year, while gasoline prices were still 24.6% higher than a year earlier in July.

Reuters reports that Trump and Republicans are facing growing pressure over inflation and affordability, with the administration emphasizing other issues rather than making the high cost of living the centerpiece of its message.

Americans can decide for themselves whether the administration is delivering on its economic promises.

But one thing is clear: the price people pay at the grocery store, the gas pump, and for housing matters.

The 2026 elections will give voters an opportunity to decide which direction they want the country to take.
