Pritzker Launches $20 Million PAC to Support Democrats in 2026 Midterms
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker is expanding his political involvement ahead of the 2026 midterm elections with the launch of a new political action committee focused on supporting Democratic candidates in congressional races across the country.
The Ready for the Fight PAC plans to invest at least $20 million in Democratic House campaigns, including races that party strategists have historically considered difficult or overlooked. The committee is also expected to target several Republican-held districts with advertising and other campaign spending.
Pritzker has increasingly used the phrase “Are you ready for the fight?” during Democratic events and campaign appearances. He has framed the upcoming elections as an opportunity for Democrats to compete more aggressively across the country rather than concentrating resources only in traditionally competitive districts.
The new PAC also expands Pritzker’s national political profile as Democrats prepare for elections that will determine control of the House and Senate. The 2026 midterm elections are scheduled for November 3, putting Election Day 56 days away as of September 8.
Pritzker has been a prominent critic of President Donald Trump and has increasingly positioned himself as a national Democratic voice. The new political operation gives him another vehicle to support candidates and shape the national campaign debate ahead of November’s elections.
